Jain McClain – Juror for the Winter 2011 Visual Overture Magazine
Jain McClain is an artist, art educator and fine art advisor. She founded Jain McClain Fine Art in 1999 to assist individuals and corporations in the acquisition of original works of art for their fine art collections. She holds a BA degree in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MA and an MFA degree in Painting and Drawing from the University of California, Berkeley. For over twenty years she has taught studio art classes, art history, and art appreciation at such institutions as the University of Nevada, Reno, Sierra Nevada College, and Chabot College. She has exhibited widely and her work is in many private and public collections, including the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, and the di Rosa collection, a nonprofit public trust in Napa, created by Rene and Veronica di Rosa, and considered to be the most significant collection of Bay Area art in the world. Jain lives at Lake Tahoe with her husband and two children.
